Evon passed away peacefully on 9 October 2026, aged 73, surrounded by her family following a sudden stroke.

Deeply loved and cherished wife of Erwin. Much-loved mother of Kane and Sanitina, mother-in-law of Gese and Judy. Treasured Nana of Paige, Malachi, Marcel, and Tarek, and proud Great-Grandma of Marvel. Cherished sister, sister-in-law, aunty, and friend to so many.

Evon was a truly genuine, kind, and caring soul with the biggest heart. She loved fiercely, was always there when needed, and would give the shirt off her back for those she cared about. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.

A service to celebrate Evon's life will be held at Morrisons Funeral Home on Thursday, 15 October 2026 at 12:30 pm, followed by a private cremation.

Always loved, always remembered.

What a beautiful, gorgeous and fun-loving Lady! We are blessed to have lived next to the Stihecz Family - Erwin, Sanitina and Kane. Thank you for being our best, cool, love us no matter the noise of laughter, crying and angry shouts coming from our side of the fence neighbours. Evon always gave us a smile when she saw us, shared wonderful dishes and great conversations of 'did you know' and 'excuse me'. Yes, we knew when she was up, the bass was booming letting us know she was getting ready for the day. We did hear the sounds of heart felt belly singing throughout the day and at times saw the flash movements of hands and feet to the funky tunes. This did not stop, Evon kept it going even as the Children left home and the Grandkids frequented Maple Street.
Thank you for all the memories, we love you and have you in our prayers.
